What are switch credits?
It's an all too common practice in the hosting industry to lure you in with an unbelievably cheap offer for your first year and before you know it, you are in the clutches of bad hosting, long contracts and sneaky clauses. We're here to change that.
Switch Credits are here to save you when you find yourself locked in a contract with the host from hell.
If you are locked into a contract with one of the hosts on our eligible list, you can use switch credits to get the benefits of a new host without losing out on any time you've already paid for with your old host!

How do I apply for Switch Credits?
To claim your switch credits, first head to the Switch Credits page.
From here, you can select your hosting provider from the list:
At the moment we only credit the big guys (those with more than 100,000 clients). We’re very supportive of smaller independent hosts and while you can move from them to us we’re not going to incentivise it.
Once you have selected your host, we will need a little bit more information about your contract with them. You should be able to find everything we need in your invoice!
Now that we know the value of our Switch Credits, it's time to design our dream hosting account with Krystal.
Not sure what hosting plan is right for you? Get in touch and we will be happy to make a recommendation!
Once you have picked your dream hosting account, scroll down to the "Your switch credits" summary and click the "Switch to Krystal now" option.
From here, you will sign up with Krystal as normal, selecting your domain name and adding your information.
Providing evidence
Once your signup is complete, your hosting account will be created automatically and is ready for use straight away!
To finalise your switch credit application, you will need to provide evidence of your existing hosting plan. To do this, simply log in to your Krystal Client Area.
From the client area homepage, you will see a new prompt to finalise your application for your switch credit, to continue, simply click the " Click here to apply" option.
Please reconfirm your host by clicking the Select an eligible host dropdown
Lastly we will need you to provide evidence of your old hosting plan. To upload your evidence, click the "Choose File" option.
Once you have uploaded your evidence, click the submit button.
Once your evidence has been submitted, a support ticket will be opened for you automatically where a member of our support team will review your evidence and your switch credits will be applied manually.
What evidence do I need?
To qualify for switch credits, your evidence must include:
- Details of the date period you've had the service for which must include tomorrow.
- Price paid for the period
- The domain name associated with the service
- A unique identifier for the invoice from your existing provider.
The majority of hosts will include all of the information listed above in your initial invoice.
