Do you offer free web hosting for not-for-profits?
At Krystal, we're proud to support not-for-profit organisations. If you're running a not-for-profit, you could be eligible for a free Amethyst hosting plan or a 50% discount on our Business Hosting and VPS packages.
What's available?
Our Amethyst plan is available completely free of charge to eligible not-for-profit organisations. It hosts one website and includes 10GB of storage, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited 5GB mailboxes, unlimited MySQL/MariaDB databases, free SSL, daily backups, and over 200 one-click applications including WordPress.
If the Amethyst plan isn't quite right for your needs, we're happy to offer a 50% discount on our Business Hosting and VPS packages. The discount applies to hosting fees only and does not cover additional licence costs such as cPanel or LiteSpeed. If you need something outside those ranges, mention it in your email and we'll see what we can do.
All we ask in return is that you add a link back to the Krystal website on your site.
Who's eligible?
"Not-for-profit" covers a lot of ground, so we review each application individually rather than working to a fixed list. If your organisation puts what it makes back into its cause rather than distributing it to owners or shareholders, it is worth asking.
If you are a registered charity or a Community Interest Company there are specific routes for you, linked at the end of this article, and those are usually quicker.
Because we assess these case by case, we may ask for more before approving - such as a company or registration number, or confirmation of your role in the organisation.
How to apply
Just drop us an email at contact@krystal.io and tell us about your organisation - what you do, who you help, how you are funded, and any company or registration number you have. Our team will review your request and, once confirmed, we'll get you set up with the free Amethyst plan or apply the 50% discount to your chosen hosting package.
