Which domain extensions (TLDs) does Krystal sell?

A top-level domain (TLD) is the part of a web address that comes after the final dot, like .co.uk or .com. This article lists the TLDs you can register, renew, or transfer with us, along with a few special cases worth knowing about. For current pricing, visit our domains page.

TLDs we sell

You can register, renew, or transfer any of the following extensions through your Krystal account.

UK extensions:

• .co.uk
• .uk
• .org.uk
• .me.uk
• .ltd.uk

International extensions:

• .com
• .net
• .org
• .info
• .biz
• .me
• .co
• .io
• .tv
• .eco

Regional extensions:

• .wales
• .cymru
• .london
• .scot

What you can do

With any of the extensions above, you can:

1. Register a brand new domain through your Krystal account.
2. Renew an existing domain that's already with us so it stays active.
3. Transfer a domain from another registrar to Krystal to manage it alongside your other services.

Restricted extensions: .gov.uk and .ac.uk

We also sell .gov.uk and .ac.uk domains, but both have strict eligibility requirements set by their registries:

• .gov.uk is only available to UK government and public sector organisations.
• .ac.uk is only available to recognised UK academic and research institutions.

If you're eligible and would like to register, renew, or transfer one of these, please get in touch with our support team and we'll help you through the process.

.sch.uk domains

We don't register new .sch.uk domains directly, but we can manage them once they're with us.

1. Register the domain through Nominet first.
2. Once it's live, transfer it to our Nominet tag and we'll look after it from there.

If your school already has a .sch.uk registered elsewhere, you can transfer it to us the same way.

What if we don't sell the TLD you want?

If the extension you're after isn't in the list above, that's not a problem. You can register the domain with another registrar and still use Krystal for everything else, including:

• Hosting your website on our servers.
• Managing your DNS records with us.
• Running your email through our hosting.

Just point the domain's nameservers or DNS at us once it's registered.

Things to note

• Some extensions have registration rules set by the registry. For example, .ltd.uk domains must be registered to a UK limited company and the domain name must match the registered company name.
