How do I transfer a domain to Krystal?
Transferring a domain name can seem rather intimidating if you haven't done it before, but do not panic! Transferring a doman name is actually a pretty simple process!
For .uk domains

Transferring a .uk domain name is generally considered to be easier than transferring a non .uk domain name. There are only two steps to complete and Krystal do not charge you for transferring your domain name.
Before we get into the specifics of how to transfer your .uk domain name, we think its best if we go through a few frequently asked questions.
What is a ccTLD?
A ccTLD is a country code Top Level Domain, .uk domains are ccTLDs.
ccTLDs are managed within each country by a nominated registration body. In the UK, that body is Nominet. You can visit their website at nominet.uk (external link opens in a new window) and find out more about their services.
Where do Krystal come in?
Krystal Hosting Ltd is an authorised registrar for Nominet.
What's an IPS tag?
Every Nominet registrar has what is known as an IPS tag (The exact meaning of IPS has been lost to history - (external link opens in a new window) ).
Krystals IPS tag is simply KRYSTAL (All uppercase).

Transferring a non .uk domain name has a few additional steps compared to a .uk domain name and there are a few additional rules that have been set by ICANN that we need to follow before we are able to facilitate a domain name transfer.
What is a gTLD?
.com .org .net and other non-country-specific domains are called gTLDs (generic Top Level Domains).
Transferring gTLDs into Krystal requires that several steps are completed correctly, otherwise, the transfer will fail. Please read this guide carefully to avoid problems.

On the domain configuration page, you will have the option to enter custom nameservers. This is most often used by resellers to provide branded nameserver details to their clients.
