Enable or disable SSH (Secure Shell) access

We allow limited command-line shell access through a caged environment. SSH is switched off by default - you turn it on yourself from your Client Area, and the steps are below.

The SSH port on our servers is 722, not the usual 22. You must set that port explicitly in your SSH or SFTP client, otherwise the connection will simply time out.

Web hosting, business and reseller accounts

1. Log in to your Krystal Client Area and open My Products & Services.
2. Select the hosting package you want to enable SSH on, to open its management page.
3. Click Enable SSH.
4. A confirmation banner appears, and the option changes to Disable SSH.

Disabling SSH

Follow the same route - My Products & Services, then your package - and click Disable SSH.

Reseller accounts

Enabling SSH on your own reseller package works exactly the same way - follow the steps above, choosing your reseller package.

Once that is done, you can create WHM Packages with SSH enabled and assign them to your clients.
